Tecnideas Reviews

Free and included with a Shopify plan, so there is no extra domain cost at setup.

Instant setup lets the store go live immediately after signup.

Built-in SSL/security is provided from day one without extra configuration.

Good for testing checkout flows, trial orders, and store design before launch.

Permanent backup/admin URL stays available even if a custom domain is added later or expires.

Weak branding because the URL includes myshopify, which can reduce memorability.

Lower trust perception since customers may see it as less professional or less established.

SEO limitations compared with a custom branded domain.

Lower ad click-through potential because unfamiliar subdomains can discourage clicks.

Cannot be changed once created, so the subdomain is locked in.

Scam association risk because some fraudulent stores also use myshopify.com URLs.
